The Mission Valley Vikings have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They managed a 53-47 victory over Madison on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mission Valley also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Hunter Tenbrink, who scored 14 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Bryce Bunger was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Mission Valley's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Madison, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Valley will take on the Nighthawks at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Madison, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Wildcats. Northern Heights is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
