The Wilson Lakemen will head out on the road to face off against the East Aurora Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Tuesday, Wilson made easy work of Akron and carried off a 17-4 win. The Lakemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Wilson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Aurora, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Cleveland Hill on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
Ava ?MJ? Improta made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Improta was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, East Aurora got a massive performance out of Sabrina Sultana, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Sultana has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caelan Legg, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Wilson's record now sits at 3-1. As for East Aurora, their record is now 3-4.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Wilson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like East Aurora struggles in that department as they've averaged .400. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wilson suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to East Aurora in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Lakemen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
