Dutchtown had a rough outing against St. Amant last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Everything went Dutchtown's way against Broadmoor on Friday as they made off with a 27-6 victory. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Dutchtown as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Dutchtown's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 20 first-half points. Broadmoor countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 20-6 going into the half. The Dutchtown defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match.
The win got Dutchtown back to even at 4-4. Broadmoor's defeat makes it seven in a row and drags their record down to 1-7.
It's more conference action for Dutchtown and Broadmoor in their upcoming matches. Dutchtown will square off against Catholic-B.R. at 7:00 PM next week. Catholic-B.R. are cruising in on a five-game winning streak. Broadmoor will be staying on the road next week, facing off against St. Amant.
