Chilton County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from DJ Caffey, who scored 22 points. The game was Caffey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Smitherman, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 0 assists.

Everything went Chilton County's way against Opelika when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as Chilton County made off with a 71-49 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chilton County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
