The Richton Rebels waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 42-28 win over Mize. That's another feather in the cap for Richton, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Richton found their leader in underclassman Nylah Robins, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Robins continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Ta'Nya Bradley was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Richton pushed their record up to 12-15 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Mize, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season.
Richton will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mize, they will be playing at home against the Oilers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heidelberg presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bulldogs in Mississippi (the Oilers are ranked 66th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 219th).
