Richmond might have drawn first blood against Excelsior Springs on Friday, but it was Excelsior Springs who got the last laugh. Richmond were completely outmatched, falling 28-63 to Excelsior Springs. If Richmond were hoping to take revenge for the 20-28 loss against Excelsior Springs the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Richmond are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4. The win bumped Excelsior Springs' record up to 4-0.
Next week Richmond take on Lafayette County at 7:00 PM. As for Excelsior Springs, they will face off against Harrisonville. Harrisonville will need to watch out since Excelsior Springs have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
