The ED White Commanders will be taking part in a tournament against the Orange Park Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
ED White took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They blew past Westside, posting a 63-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Commanders in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won six in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead ED White to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zariona Thomas, who went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc on her way to 18 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Thomas a new career-high. Redriaunna Mitchell was another key player, shooting 71% from the field to rack up 12 points and eight rebounds.
ED White smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 37 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Orange Park humbled Leon with a 71-37 victory. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Lions are ranked 323rd) , the win last Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
ED White better keep an eye on Gabby Mallory. She was instrumental in Orange Park's win, going 9-for-15 en route to 26 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. With that strong performance, Mallory is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Trinity Dinkins, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
ED White's record now sits at 8-4. As for Orange Park, their record is now 9-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: ED White has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 37.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Orange Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
ED White lost to Orange Park on the road by a decisive 50-34 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can the Commanders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
