Softball Recap: Thorp Has No Trouble Against Regis

Thorp won the last time they faced Regis and things went their way on Friday too. The Cardinals blew past the Ramblers 18-4. Considering the Cardinals have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Thorp's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Regis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Thorp will square off against Bloomer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blackhawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Regis, they will head out on the road to challenge Elmwood/Plum City at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
