Basketball Recap: Corey Crosby's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Highline over Foster

Highline was the 66-57 winner over Foster when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Highline Pirates fell 67-54 to the Foster Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Corey Crosby, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Crosby is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games he's played. Zayne Cola was another key player, going 7 of 12 on his way to 14 points.

Jeremiah White was nothing short of spectacular for Foster: he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyjon Stewart, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 12 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Highline now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Foster, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Highline will take on Tyee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Highline is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season. As for Foster, they will face off against Clover Park at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
