Season Preview:Guyer fell just short of the UIL 6A Texas state title last season, losing to eventual state champion Allen in the quarterfinals.
Wilson and Harmon, co-MPVs of District 6-6A, return to navigate the Wildcats through their most difficult schedule in school history with one major goal — capturing the Texas class 6A state crown.
A strong supporting cast will be pivotal in that quest with Coles, McGhie, Luster, Hill and Willis all expected to play key roles in the rotation.
The Wildcats have the opportunity to avenge their quarterfinal loss early in the season, with a November showdowns with Lancaster, Sunrise Christian Academy and Allen, before taking on nationally ranked Bishop Gorman and DeMatha.
Guyer begins the season with its highest expectations in program history and are set as favorites to capture the school's first ever Texas state championship, led by their elite high-major duo.
