Softball Recap: Middlesex Extends Winning Streak to Three

Middlesex waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the West Point Pointers. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Magen Daniels was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Middlesex let Courtney Jessie and Carly Jessie run wild. Courtney got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Carly scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI Courtney has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Libby Oliver, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.

Middlesex's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for West Point, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Middlesex beat the Pointers by a score of 15-1 later that day.
