Mid-Missouri HomeSchool took down Kansas City East Christian Academy 63-48 on Saturday. This was payback for Mid-Missouri HomeSchool, who suffered a 95-67 loss the last time these two teams met.
Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paul Hayes, who scored 24 points along with four steals. Hayes continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kyle Aulgur, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Mid-Missouri HomeSchool's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mid-Missouri HomeSchool will be home for the holidays to greet Rolla HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Kansas City East Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Midland Adventist Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Midland Adventist Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 278th in Kansas, while Kansas City East Christian Academy is ranked 16th in Missouri).
