The Lamar Thunder will head out to challenge The Classical Academy Titans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lamar is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
Lamar proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 19) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bennett, sneaking past 5-3.

Alex Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lamar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stetson Hawkins, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while The Classical Academy put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Mitchell. The Titans put the hurt on the Marauders with a sharp 20-0 win. Considering the Titans have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Zach Mediavilla, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of The Classical Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Mason Parker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one double.
The Classical Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .368 or higher in three consecutive games.
Lamar's record now sits at 11-8. As for The Classical Academy, their record is now 13-5.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Lamar has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.5 hits per game. However, it's not like The Classical Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lamar couldn't quite get it done against The Classical Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 9-4. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
