St. Anne-Pacelli had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 49-17 defeat at the hands of the Stratford Academy Eagles on Friday. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.
St. Anne-Pacelli lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cameron Carino, who rushed for 74 yards and one TD.
Stratford Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tucker Johnston out in front who threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 59 yards and a pair of scores. The Eagles' leading receiver Jett Johnston was Tucker's top target yet again, picking up 119 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground.
Looking ahead, St. Anne-Pacelli will face off against Tattnall Square Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stratford Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pinewood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on the 29th.
