The Mira Loma Matadors suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Casa Roble by a score of 63-60. Mira Loma has not had much luck with Casa Roble recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Mira Loma still got an impressive performance from Christian Perez, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Kenneth Brown, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Casa Roble's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Moses Oginni, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. Oginni has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Benny Ambriz, who scored 21 points.
Mira Loma's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Casa Roble, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.

As for Casa Roble, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rosemont at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rosemont is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
