The Lake Fenton Blue Devils will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants at 5:40 p.m. on Friday. Lake Fenton is looking to tack on another W to their 13-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Lake Fenton came up short against Arbor Prep and fell 53-40. While losing is never fun, Lake Fenton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Arbor Prep is ranked 42nd).
Lake Fenton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Savannah "sj" fellenbaum, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds, and Parker Beardsley who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The contest was "sj" fellenbaum's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, Kalamazoo Central was beaten by East Kentwood 63-26 on Wednesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kalamazoo Central has scored all season.
