The Lindblom Eagles will face off against the Thornwood Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses apiece.
Last Monday, Lindblom was the victim of a rough 57-33 loss at the hands of Simeon. Lindblom has not had much luck with Simeon recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Meanwhile, Thornwood's 28-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were outmatched by Lockport on the road and fell 75-22. While losing is never fun, Thornwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 537th, while Lockport is ranked 236th).
Lindblom's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Thornwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
Lindblom came up short against Thornwood in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, falling 55-45. Can Lindblom avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
