The Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 53-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Massanutten Military Academy. Mountain View Christian Academy has struggled against the Colonels recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Conquerors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Walker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Walker pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Ritter, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Mountain View Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Massanutten Military Academy, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9.
Mountain View Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Massanutten Military Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Caissons at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th. Fishburne Military is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
