The Tri-State Christian Huskies waltzed into their match Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 51-44 win over Pathway Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Tri-State Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Tri-State Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nick Vannorsdel, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Vannorsdel pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Will Cunningham, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Tri-State Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pathway Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tri-State Christian will square off against Unity Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Unity Christian is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Pathway Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Quad Cities Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Quad Cities Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.8 points per game.
