The Cartersville Hurricanes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Centennial Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cartersville will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Cartersville stacked a fifth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard two weeks ago. They were the clear victor by a 42-21 margin over Dalton.
It was another big night for Khristian Lando, who rushed for 182 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Lando hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Turner Abernathy got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Centennial was not quite Greater Atlanta Christian's equal in the second half on Friday. Centennial fell 17-7 to Greater Atlanta Christian. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, Centennial couldn't push the score so high this time.
Cartersville's victory lifted them to 10-0 while Centennial's defeat dropped them down to 3-7.
