South Central is 9-0 against Wheeler since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The South Central Satellites will be playing at home against the Wheeler Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, South Central didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Washington Township, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory.
Sadie Marks continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The game was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. Hope Welsh was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Meanwhile, Wheeler had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on Victory Christian Academy with a sharp 34-11 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wheeler to victory, but perhaps none more so than Izabela Schumacher, who scored 7 points along with 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ava Lukawski, who scored 7 points along with 11 rebounds.
South Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Wheeler, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-7.
Everything came up roses for South Central against Wheeler when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 45-15 win. Does South Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wheeler turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
