While losing is never fun, Jefferson Davis Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 272nd in South Carolina, while Curtis Baptist is ranked 119th in Georgia).
Holly Hill Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Holly Hill Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Jefferson Davis Academy in their previous meeting on January 5th, sneaking past 38-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holly Hill Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
