Skyline is 3-0 against the Prospectors since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Skyline Coyotes will be playing at home against the Apache Junction Prospectors at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-32, which was the final score in Skyline's tilt against the Jackrabbits on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Skyline in their matchups with the Jackrabbits: they've now lost eight in a row.
Meanwhile, Apache Junction was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 60-54 to the Buffaloes. Apache Junction has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Skyline dropped their record down to 6-17 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Apache Junction, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
Skyline took their victory against the Prospectors in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 58-34. Does Skyline have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Prospectors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
