The Desert Vista Thunder will challenge the Casteel Colts at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Vista is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Desert Vista was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Chandler on Monday. The Thunder blew past the Wolves 12-2. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Thailee Jones made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other pitching news, Dolce Contreras looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Kylie Dagan was incredible, firing off three home runs and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Jaymie Larney was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
Desert Vista kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Casteel didn't have quite enough to beat Tolleson on Monday and fell 4-3. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alaynna Williams put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. Williams was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Maddy Matejcek was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two triples and two runs.
Desert Vista's record now sits at 8-1. As for Casteel, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Desert Vista has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Casteel struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Desert Vista beat Casteel 12-7 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
