Alpharetta is 0-3 against the Trojans since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Alpharetta Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Lassiter Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Alpharetta had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Johns Creek by a score of 53-41 on Friday. The victory was just what Alpharetta needed coming off of a 69-35 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, Lassiter had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Sprayberry 45-43.
Claire Mackenny and Kenzie Wyman were among the main playmakers for Lassiter as the former scored 15 points along with four blocks and the latter scored 12 points along with two steals.
Alpharetta's win bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Lassiter, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6.
Alpharetta was taken down by the Trojans 63-27 in their previous meeting back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Alpharetta was down 37-8.
