The Medfield Warriors will challenge the Dover-Sherborn Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Medfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Medfield didn't have quite enough to beat Hopkinton and fell 5-4. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Hillers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Jack Folan and Charlie Hurley did some serious damage despite the final result: Folan got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Hurley went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Owen Sokolowski, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Dover-Sherborn put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Holliston. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Panthers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.
Jackson Shusda was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Shusda was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matt Bowen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Quinn Healey was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Dover-Sherborn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holliston only posted an OBP of .211.
Having lost for the first time this season, Medfield fell to 2-1-1. As for Dover-Sherborn, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Medfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Dover-Sherborn in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
