Basketball Recap: Liberty Finds Home Court Redemption Against Pueblo West

There's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 70-46 margin over the Pueblo West Cyclones on Tuesday. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

London Praytor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10-for-17 to rack up 21 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Peyton Moreland was another key player, putting up nine points.

Liberty was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They racked up six more assists than Pueblo West's also-impressive total of ten.

Pueblo West's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Trujillo, who posted eight points and 12 boards. Trujillo is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last 19 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ezekiel Stump, who had 11 points.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Pueblo West, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.

Liberty has already played their next game, a 66-45 win against Fountain-Fort Carson on the 20th. As for Pueblo West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-70 defeat against Rampart on the 20th.
