Even though the Farmington Knights scored an imposing 85 points on Friday, the Central Rebels still came out on top. Central secured a 89-85 W over Farmington. Given Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Farmington is ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jobe Bryant was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and ten assists. Bryant is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Casey, who scored 19 points.
Central's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Farmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
Central the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome West County at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Farmington's road trip will continue as they head out to face Festus at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Festus will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
