The Trinity Christian Gryphons were the 46-31 winner over the Immanuel Christian Warriors when they last played one another on December 2nd, but their luck changed this time around. Trinity Christian took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Immanuel Christian. Trinity Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cameron Blanding was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds for Immanuel Christian. That makes it three consecutive games in which Blanding has scored at least 25% of Immanuel Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Bryan Musafi, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Trinity Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Immanuel Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Trinity Christian and Loudoun County HomeSchool will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Immanuel Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Christ Chapel Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
