The Piqua Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 59-41 to Meadowdale. Piqua has not had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Zhieyah Rolack continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Meadowdale, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Rolack has scored at least a third of Meadowdale's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiyah Middlebrook, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Piqua has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season. As for Meadowdale, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-2.
Piqua will head out on the road to face off against the Green Wave at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greenville has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 6. Meadowdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
