Urbana had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Urbana were the better team in the second half.

Savannah Finley and Lily Schroeder scored both of Urbana's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Arthur-Okaw Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Urbana didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against St. Thomas More on the 26th. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Decatur Eisenhower on the 26th.
