Softball Recap: Christ's Church Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Crescent City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christ's Church Academy). Everything went their way against the Crescent City Raiders on Thursday as they made off with a 22-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won six in a row.

Peyton Teague was a standout: she scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Smith, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

Christ's Church Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in eight consecutive matchups.

Christ's Church Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Crescent City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christ's Church Academy will head out to take on Cornerstone Classical Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crescent City, they will venture away from home to challenge Seabreeze at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
