Sylmar was the  66-61 winner over Chatsworth when they last played one another  back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Sylmar Spartans were beaten by the Chatsworth Chancellors 115-53 on Wednesday. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  61-22.

 It was another big night for  Alijah Arenas, who  went 28-for-36  en route to 61 points along with six  rebounds and five  assists for Chatsworth. Those 61  points gave  Arenas a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Salomon Torres, who  went 5-for-6  to rack up 11 points in addition to eight  boards and seven  steals.
Sylmar has  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record  this season. The  win (which was Chatsworth's seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-7.
 Sylmar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  69-60  victory against San Fernando on the 13th. As for Chatsworth, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  79-48  win against Birmingham on the 14th.
