Despite the defeat, Challenger saw an underclassman step up: sophomore AJ Burch went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Burch. Blake Vang was another key player, putting up nine points and six boards.
As for Community Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Chaden Poole was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds. His big performance that evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Thomas, who posted ten points and three steals.
