Goldsboro came into Tuesday's matchup having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Beddingfield Bruins with a sharp 15-1 victory on Tuesday. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Goldsboro got a massive performance out of Gray Seegars, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Seegars has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Smith, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Goldsboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beddingfield only posted an OBP of .417.

Goldsboro's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Beddingfield, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coming up, Goldsboro will challenge Princeton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beddingfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
