The Forest Park Foresters stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 64-21 victory over Patterson. Given Forest Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Clippers are ranked 120th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Forest Park's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chaniya Taylor, who scored 13 points. NaJae Malik-El was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Forest Park has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. As for Patterson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Forest Park will take on the Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Gwynn Park comes in on eight and the Foresters on four. As for Patterson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mighty Ducks at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Douglass is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
