St. Cloud is 8-0 against Celebration since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The St. Cloud Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Celebration Storm at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Cloud has three straight wins, Celebration has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, St. Cloud never let their opponents score. They came out on top against South Lake by a score of 7-0.
One reason for the win was St. Cloud's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. South Lake's QB won't forget Jayden Woods anytime soon given Woods sacked him four times.
Meanwhile, Celebration fell victim to Flagler Palm Coast's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 39-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Celebration can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while Flagler Palm Coast is ranked 154th).
St. Cloud's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.7 points per game. As for Celebration, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
St. Cloud took their win against Celebration in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 32-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Cloud since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
