The Boulder Panthers will challenge the John Carroll Catholic Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boulder will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Boulder is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Westtown 12-2 on Wednesday. The Panthers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024.
Sam Skubic made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Bennett Levinson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Finn Torvik was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That hit was his first of the season. Gavin Nguyen was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, John Carroll Catholic gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Key West.
John Carroll Catholic got a big performance out of Brennan Jones, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Preston Sullivan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
John Carroll Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Key West only posted a batting average of .154.
Boulder's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for John Carroll Catholic, their record now sits at 10-6.
