The Johnson City Wildcats put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 81-64 victory over Maine-Endwell. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Felix Morales was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 25 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals. Those ten steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Zubayr Griffin, who scored 23 points along with five assists.
Johnson City's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Maine-Endwell, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson City will be home for the holidays to greet Horseheads at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Maine-Endwell will be home for the holidays to greet Vestal at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday.
