Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Atlanta

Atlanta proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Redwater Dragons 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rabbits have posted since February 22nd.

Gabby Arredondo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carlajah Adger, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Anna Davis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

The victory was the third in a row for Atlanta, bringing their record up to 14-7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Redwater, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13-1.
