Leading Orland to victory were Zach Story and Jordan Lister. Story scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals, while Lister scored 18 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Ethan Orozco, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Central Valley lost on Tuesday, one person who can't be blamed is Vincent Vanpal. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
Central Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Orland racked up 17.
Orland's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Central Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orland will face off against Foothill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Foothill focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Central Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Willows at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
