Softball Recap: Biglerville Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Biglerville won the last time they faced Hanover and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Canners put the hurt on the Nighthawks with a sharp 21-4 win. The Canners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Biglerville got a massive performance out of Jocelyn Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Miller has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Peterson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Biglerville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive games.

Biglerville has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Hanover, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Coming up, Biglerville will square off against Fairfield at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hanover, they will face off against York Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting Irish have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.79 runs per game on average), something the Nighthawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
