Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Cyprus beat Kearns 51-46.
Tamila Francis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Amelia Echternkamp was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Taylorsville scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Granger 73-32 at home. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Taylorsville had established a 36 point advantage.
It was another big night for Jenna Sterzer, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Wolfgramm, who scored ten points.
Cyprus is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Taylorsville, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Cyprus have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Taylorsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 38.8 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
