Panguitch is 9-1 against Piute since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It was a proper cat-fight when Panguitch duked it out with Water Canyon on Wednesday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won nine in a row.
The final score came out to 25-7, 25-14, 25-16.

Panguitch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shylee Keele, who had ten digs and three aces. Keele is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's played. Brooklyn Harland was another key player, getting nine digs and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Panguitch was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 17 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Piute, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past Milford 3-2.
Piute wouldn't go down easily and took Milford into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-27, 24-26, 25-19, 15-9.
Panguitch's record now sits at 15-3. As for Piute, their record is now 8-10.
Panguitch took their win against Piute in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
