The GV Christian Guardians can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They really took it to Adelson for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-28 win on the road. The victory was just what GV Christian needed coming off of a 63-30 loss in their prior match.
GV Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nick Madsen out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Deomani Loveland, who scored 18 points along with five steals.
GV Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Adelson, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. GV Christian will take on Founders Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Founders Classical Academy is ranked 80th, while GV Christian is ranked 88th). As for Adelson, they will head out on the road to face off against White Pine at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. White Pine knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Adelson likes a good challenge.
