The Compass Charter Aviators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 42-26 win over Non Varsity Opponent. That looming 42-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Compass Charter yet this season.
Compass Charter can attribute much of their success to Reanna Byers, who scored 25 points along with seven steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Byers has scored at least 25% of Compass Charter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Kartchner, who scored two points along with ten rebounds and seven steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Compass Charter and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 45-86.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Compass Charter will play host again and welcome Four Rivers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Four Rivers has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Non Varsity Opponent will be home for the holidays to greet Nikiski at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
