The Lake View Wild Gators pushed their score all the way to 65 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 75-65 to Dillon Christian. Lake View was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dillon Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Despite the loss, Lake View still got an impressive performance from Jayden Ford, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmarion Nichols, who scored 13 points.
Dillon Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Outlar, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Outlar has scored all season. Thompson Stone was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with seven assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Lake View and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Dillon Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake View won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lamar at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Dillon Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against King's Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. King's Academy is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
