Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps national rankings, Udall should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will challenge Caldwell on the road at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 14-58, which was the final score in Udall's tilt against Medicine Lodge last Friday. Udall's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Josh Fielder, who rushed for 205 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, if Caldwell were riding high off their 56-8 takedown of Oxford two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Caldwell suffered a grim 14-36 defeat to South Central. Caldwell's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the victory. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
