In other pitching news, Brayden Clark looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on JP Sweeney, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Bryce Anders, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Musselman got the win against Hampshire on Thursday by a conclusive 9-2. The Applemen haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Taryn Boyles and Tannor Sharp did most of the damage at the plate: Boyles scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Sharp went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That stolen base was Boyles' first of the season. Alex Whitmer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base.
Musselman picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Spring Mills, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
