The North Springs Spartans posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They skirted past Cambridge 65-62. The win was all the more spectacular given North Springs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Cambridge is ranked 27th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Esmer Madesko, who scored 22 points. Troy Hill was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
North Springs' victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Cambridge, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Springs will take on Chattahoochee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cambridge, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Centennial at 7:30 p.m.
